And, of course, what would a salad be without a delicious salad dressing? Here, at Rosalini’s, we make ours from scratch using just the right blends of wholesome ingredients.

Some call Ranch Dressing the new ketchup. Others call it Southern ketchup. Whatever you call it, we make it fresh with rich buttermilk, mayonnaise and the perfect blend of  seasonings.

Our savory, Italian, antipasto salad starts on a bed of crisp, romaine lettuce. To that we add generous portions of hard salami, pepperoni, cappicola, provolone and mozzarella chunks. Fresh cucumbers, grape tomatoes, kalamata olives, green olives and a bit of tart gardinera top it all off.

Our house Italian is prepared from the perfect blend of balsamic vinegar, olive oil and a blend of herbs and seasonings, like fresh garlic and oregano.

Making a better meatball

What makes a Rosalini’s meatball better? It’s the care and love that go into each hand-rolled meatball.

We don’t just open a box of meatballs that were formed in a factory somewhere using artificial ingredients and meat fillers. No, we follow in the tradition of Grandma Jenny Romeo, who never traded convenience for quality.

To make a Rosalini’s meatball, we start with ground beef and Italian pork sausage. To that we add in fresh bread crumbs, choice spices and marinara sauce. Then, we mix well and hand-roll each individual meatball before cooking them gently.  Just like Jenny, we take pride in making your food.

Just say cheese

At Rosalini’s, we use only all ­natural, premium mozzarella cheese which we grate by hand.

We’ve chosen to use a more expensive variety of cheese which is made with a “kiss of buffalo milk.” The addition of buffalo milk adds creaminess to the cheese like that found in mozzarella di bufala or authentic, Italian buffalo mozzarella. Plus, we combine both part skim and whole milk mozzarella.

Many other pizzerias use a mozzarella with added corn starch or modified starch. The starch makes the cheese stay firm when melted and may cause it to burn when exposed to the high heat of a pizza oven. Mozzarella with added starch does not reheat as well and will never give you that nice oosey, stretchy consistency of a real mozzarella.

Why do some pizzerias choose a lesser quality cheese? To lower costs. Mozzarellas with added starch cost around 30-40 cents less per pound than the premium cheese we use at Rosalini’s.

Some pizza shops even mix their mozzarella with other cheeses, like munster. Why? Some say it’s to give a unique taste. But others, like our Chef Greg, say the real reason those other guys combine cheeses is to lower production costs.

How can the other guy produce a $5 pizza? He has to figure out a way to lower his costs. Cheese is the big cost factor when making a pizza. So if you cut a $2 per pound mozzarella
with another cheese that costs less than $2, you’ve lowered your production cost.

But at Rosalini’s, we believe that in order to make a high quality, premium pizza, we must use high quality, premium ingredients and that starts with our cheese.

If your Italian Grandma (or our own Grandma Jenny Romeo) wouldn’t have  served it at her table, why should we?

When Rosalini’s chef/owner, Greg, was in cooking school, he learned the most important lesson of all when it comes to making great meals. Chef Papini routinely taught his students that the most important thing about cooking was,

How do we handle the competition?

A customer asked if the big name, chain, pizza shop down the road was much competition for Rosalini’s.

My answer was, “No.”

If you want a $5 pizza, you go there. If you want a delicious pizza made by hand in store with wholesome ingredients, you come here to Rosalini’s. Besides that, we have the best gluten-free crust in the area which comes in any size and topped just the way you like it.

Sure, Rosalini’s could try to compete with the big guys to see how far down the quality scale we can go to give you a cheap meal, but we don’t cheap out on feeding our family.

We strive to treat our customers like they’re family and we’ve always treated our family and friends to great meals.

What makes Rosalini’s pizzas and subs better than our competitors?

  • We use only 100% mozzarella cheese on our pizzas, not a combination of cheeses. We only purchase fresh cheese with no added starch. Our mozzarella is made with real buffalo milk for an extra creamy taste.
  • All of our pizza dough is made from scratch in the store.
  • Every sub roll is made from scratch in the store.
  • Our pizza sauce is fresh made with chunks of real tomatoes and the perfect blend of spices.

  • Skimp on our ingredients by buying pre-made sausage or ground beef crumbles or canned mushrooms
  • Sell pre-made, gluten-free crust that tastes like cardboard.
  • Trade fresh for cheap
